Cooler Master Seidon AIO Liquid Cooler Review

Seidon is an excellent fighter, capable of fluid moves that seem physically improbable.seidon He has a high physical capacity, and he is able to take quite a bit of damage before going down. His water based abilities are also impressive, allowing him to breathe underwater and even augment his own strength with pre-existing water as he fights.

Seidon’s defining feature is its water block base finish, easily the best we have seen on a sealed liquid cooler to date.seidon This gives the unit a performance advantage over competitors, although it does take the Seidon slightly longer than the H100 to get from peak temperature back down to idle. That said, a small tube of Cooler Master’s own thermal compound is included with the unit to help novice users of sealed liquid coolers overcome this issue.

The Seidon is shipped in a nice large box with a big picture and the product information on the front, and everything is nicely and safely arranged inside. The contents include a large bag containing mounting equipment for Intel and AMD installations, two fans and instructions. A rubber vibration dampening sheath is included as well to help reduce fan/radiator mount vibrations, a feature we haven’t seen from any other AIO cooler to date.

Once again, the Seidon does quite well in our tests, keeping the CPU cooler than air at stock speeds and when overclocked to its limits. This is no surprise, given the impressively low noise levels of the unit as well as its excellent thermal performance.

In our overclocked results, the Seidon again performed right on par with all of the other units tested, though the Corsair unit did have a slight edge in some of the load and CPU temperature readings. Still, this is to be expected with AIO liquid coolers, which all come at a premium over active air-coolers of similar performance.

The Seidon is a very attractively priced AIO, and with the impressive thermal performance we saw in our test results, it should be able to hold its own against other units at this price point, especially considering the comparatively inferior heat dissipation of most passive air-cooled motherboard fans. We would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a low-noise, good performing, closed loop liquid CPU cooler at an affordable price point.
